Yea, it's a pregnant dog(Rats! Didn't know we had a naughty word filter!). In my other reply I mentioned the importance of the directory hieracrchy as it applies to brushes. Another rule is that any specialty brushes you may use, beziers or patches, require that you use only vtx shaders. Also, when you compile your maps, make sure you turn off any texturing mode in the 3D view as it will crash the program sometimes if it is active.
That's all I can think of now, but make sure you read the help document in your DNMP directory. It explains a lot of dos and don't about using the editor. Good luck and let me know if you are still having problems.....................RG

;D lol.................shit!(Hmmm. It let that one through! Bastards) The patches I am referring to are the landscape patches you can find on the left side of the editor. If you place your mouse on the buttons, you will see an info box that describes them. Again, let me know if I helped solve your crash problem.

Hi, oakman, did you resolve your problem with prismed closing on you? Actually, those landscape patches are called tripatches and there is a brief description of them on Fredlennium's site: www.geocities.com/dukemptutorials/They, and the bezier patches, are a pain to work with because they require vtx_ "only" shaders. If you use a regular shader and try to render them in the 3d window they will crash the editor. Hint: Before you get too involved with your mapping, you should go to your 'options' menu at the top of prismed and check 'Locked texturing" and then click your 'preferences tab, go to 'texturing' and select 'e02\vtx_asphalt.shd' or any vtx shader as the Default shader. That way, when you do work with patches, they won't crash the computer. Let me know if you are still having problems with the editor crashing on you.
