I started fooling around with game editors with the SED editor with Serious Sam FE right after it came out, years ago. I enjoyed working with it and was making pretty good progress until my computer crashed and I lost all my files.(Now I backup all the time!)
I had tried the build engine, but after using SED I was spoiled to using a true 3D engine because of my poor eyesight.
Then, DNMP came along and I wrestled with it many hours until I got to the point that I could build a fairly complex level without crashing the editor. I'm still working with Prism3D and learning a lot, but I have no real good ideas for good sidescrolling-type levels. I'm hoping that when I learn enough, a new "style" of designing levels will come to me so that I can utilize the best elements of this unique game.
I have UT2004 and have looked at the editor, but I am not ready to switch from Prism3D and I don't think I can work with both at the same time. When DNF comes out, I might change my mind, though.
Sorry for being long-winded. Just wanted to share a little. Later...RG ;D

I've had experience with Staredit for starcraft (the best and easiest to use campaign editor I've come across), of course Build, and Star Trek Armada 2's editor. I'm currently working on beating DS9: The Fallen and then will start working with the unreal editor for the game.
Looks similar in interface to Prismed.
